Adrienne Haan is a super talent and has appeared numerous times with The Embassy Series.  We are bringing her back for what we know will be a great program.  These events are not to be missed.  Get ready for a great Holiday Treat with the grandiose hospitality of the elegantissimo Embassy of Luxembourg- with all the music you love! Featuring classics by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Jacques Brel, and introducing lesser known works such as 1920’s and 1930’s French chansons by Kurt Weill and Walter Jurmann, Haan presents her uniquely crafted Cabaret Française, which also includes contemporary pop-jazz songs originally performed by Patricia Kaas.  This soirée accompanied by Washington, DC pianist Howard Breitbart promises to be emotional and entertaining.

Pianist Howard Breitbart, well known for his work with the political satire troupe The Capitol Steps, has toured nation-wide with the ensemble in both live productions and on radio for over 20 years.  He has served as pianist and musical director for many of Washington DC’s theaters including the Arena Stage, MetroStage, and Ford’s Theatre and for more than a decade he was musical director for the American Songs series at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. As a pianist, he has performed for the Kennedy Center’s Sondheim Celebration of Sunday in the Park with George and the Ford Theatre’s production of Civil War.  Breitbart’s musical director credits at Florida’s Palm Beach Dramaworks include productions of Most Happy Fella and 110 In The Shade, He has performed in multiple concerts featuring the songs of musical theater greats, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Rodgers & Hart, Dorothy Fields and Johnny Mercer.  In addition to his work at the piano, Breitbart has been recognized as a musical director and arranger and has been featured in countless top-rated cabaret and Broadway productions throughout his career in such notables as The Lost Songs of Broadway, the Holiday Follies and The Rat Pack$160/inc. valet parking/great champagne, hors-d’œuvres, gourmet buffet.
